Jon M. Berry, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Jon Berry joined Fayetteville Surgical Associates in August of 2004. Prior to joining our clinic he served as Staff General Surgeon for the United States Navy and was stationed in Groton, Connecticut. Dr. Berry was also stationed in San Diego, California and Okinawa, Japan. He is currently on staff at Washington Regional Medial Center, North Hills Surgery Center, and Regency Hospital.
Dr. Berry was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma State University and earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. He served as an intern at University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Following his internship, he completed his surgical residency at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California.
Dr. Berry has a special interest in the treatment of varicose veins. He has received specialized training in radiofrequency vein ablation, a non-invasive surgical treatment for varicose veins. He also offers more traditional treatment for varicose veins as well as Sclerotherapy for spider veins.
Dr. Berry also has a large practice established in the treatment of colo-rectal cancer and offers colonoscopy as well as upper endoscopy. He offers surgical treatment for cancer of the breast, thyroid, esophagus, stomach, pancreas, and malignant melanoma.
Dr. Berry has vast experience in laparoscopic surgery and offers laparoscopic surgery on the gallbladder as well as laparoscopic hernia repair and treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease. He also offers the full spectrum of traditional general surgical care including endocrine surgery.
Dr. Berry is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and was certified by the American Board of Surgery in 2001. He has also been a member of the American Board of Medical Examiners since 1994. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Arkansas Medical Society as well as the Washington County Medical Society.
